Care Plans
Create AI-generated care plans, track review dates, and manage plan status.
Creating a care plan
Navigate to a resident's profile and select "Care Plans", then "New Care Plan". Choose the care plan type: Personal Care, Nutrition & Hydration, Mobility, Dementia & Cognitive, or End-of-Life Care. BoolCare's AI will then guide you through a series of questions about the resident.
The AI questioning process
The AI asks targeted questions relevant to the care plan type and the resident's existing profile. Answer each question as accurately as possible — the more detail you provide, the better the resulting care plan. Typical completion time is 3–8 minutes depending on complexity.
Reviewing and publishing
Once the AI has generated the care plan, you will see a full draft for review. Read through each section, make any edits needed, and then click "Publish". The plan is not active until published. Unpublished drafts are saved automatically and can be returned to at any time.

Review dates
Every care plan has a review date. BoolCare will notify relevant staff when a review is due. To update a care plan, open it and select "Review Plan" — the AI uses the existing plan as context and guides you through updating any sections that have changed.
Care plan status
Care plans can have the following statuses: Draft (being created), Active (published and current), Under Review (review in progress), and Archived (superseded by a newer version). The resident's overview shows all current active plans and any overdue reviews.
