Running a risk assessment
From a resident's profile, select "Risk Assessments" then "New Assessment". Choose the assessment type: Falls, Skin Integrity, Choking, Medication, or Nutritional Risk. The AI will ask a structured set of questions informed by validated assessment tools and UK clinical guidance.
Risk levels and management strategies
After completing the questions, the AI generates an overall risk level (Low, Medium, High, or Very High) and a detailed management strategy with specific interventions. Review and edit these before publishing. The risk level and key interventions appear prominently in the resident's profile.
Scheduling reviews
Set a review date when publishing any risk assessment. BoolCare sends reminders to relevant staff ahead of the due date. High and Very High risk assessments are flagged on the dashboard until reviewed.

Assessment history
Every completed assessment — including all previous versions — is stored in the resident's assessment history. This provides an auditable trail showing how risk levels have changed over time, which is valuable for both internal quality reviews and CQC inspections.
Bulk assessments
From the Reports section, you can view which residents have overdue or upcoming risk assessments across all your homes. This helps managers prioritise and stay ahead of regulatory requirements.
